The Trouble With AJAX
While everyone is busy implementing AJAX on every webpage they administer, and while I do not deny the beautiful simplicity and aesthetic design of an AJAX powered page (just look at how nice Gmail is to use, with instant marking of read/unread messages; or how nice the IPB 2.1 registration page is..) everyone seems to have forgotten something about the original foundations of AJAX. What it is, how it works, why it is not necessarily the best of ideas… In short, why it is best left well alone.
