Should We Boycott Google?
So maybe the time is coming for us to bid farewell to Google and its engine. To withdraw our accounts at Blogger.com. And to stop collecting our email on gmail. If the Internet is to bring genuine freedom to the world, we need to show the big companies that when it comes to the Internet, the World is bigger even than China!

They messed up with the new Gmail in Nov of 2007, and we've never been the same.

Google has become a verb. That alone is reason enough to boycott.
Here are some Google alternatives:

I agree that Google should be boycotted, but for different reasons. Read my post Google Is Not Your Friend to find out how they are bleeding webmasters and ammassing tons of private data.

Boycott Google? I already have! Google will not even recognize my valid url's, online over 2 months! Not even as possible links! I have dumped google as home page! Using yahoo and altavista.
Google robots have visited my websites more than 3,000 times in last month!
In my opinion, Google is a dying monster in it's own mire of red tape protocol and over micromanaged %**&%! I say good ridance to a dying monster that would be GOD! I say that boycott WILL be effective! I am NOT going to use it at all, I am a new webmaster, my sites are growing the old fashion way, working for traffic! Good luck with Google! I'm just going ahead with my plans as is Google did not even exist!

It's like the fight against big oil...you may boycott their stations for a day, but we all know they'll still get your money...TOMORROW.
It's a good cause, but most of us can't live without Google or Blogger. Which is why they're one of the top 10 sites.
