Gmail Feature

Apparently gmail doesn't differentiate email addresses when a period is included.

if you have x.y@gmail.com and your friend happens to write to xy@gmail.com by mistake you still get the email. Vice versa works as well.

Yes, you are right here. It's funny when sometimes you get email not really intended for you because of this. I have gotten email few times when the sender was trying to send email to some other Tejas Patel and the email did not have '.' in between and it came to me.
